There is something very wicked stirring in our country. As we saw in that Harris Poll a good number of Americans thinks Obama is a foriegn agent, a Muslim, hates America, a socialist, akin to Hitler, the AntiChrist. We have a growing radical right movement without any itnellectual core. Its based on vile hatred and has a life on its own. Our leaders in thsi country are not doing enough to fight back I feel. Condemning it isnt enough. Someone is going to get hurt or worse.
Sarah Palin is encouraging offices of congressfolk to be vandaled. The GOP seems to playing games in condemning the rising tide of vitriol that will soon consume the establsihment Republican party. Rep Cantor caimed bullets rained down on his office which later was not verified. God forbid he should simply condemn the violence going on. Our sense of dialogue is under collapse.
The right wing makes up vile and the left seems too nice to really swat it so the right keeps doing it. And it grows worse. Look at what they did to the Clitnons over what? Over their fantasies about Vince Foster, Whitewater.

I wont post the actual picture for lots of reasons mostly bc its content isnt deserving to be displayed fully on this site. But it gives insight into what many ont he other side are thinking and where perhaps these sentiments could lead.
The poltical cartoon- if you can call it that depicts the President having committed a henious act against a woman- Lady Liberty herself.Im very disturbed . I feel we are heading off a cliff. We need to do more to highlight this kind of stuff at minumum. The racial context in this is vile and well you can see the rest. The right lacks leaders of any intellectual heft. Just 16 yrs ago Clinton had to wrangle with Dole and Gingrinch. But those guys at least had brains. Who is leading these tea partiers? Things are breaking apart.
